Grace Mary Power: Biography

I signed up with Medium in November 2018 to read locked Stories. Since then I found I could use Medium as a writing platform, and I also signed up for the Medium Partner Program. I was surprised to be accepted into 2 publications straightaway, being Real Life Resilience and the Ascent.
My Stories on Medium started with my own struggles and personal journey being chronicled. Along the way, the fact that there are readers who are interested in what I have to say, has greatly encouraged me to keep writing on Medium.
My background is long and varied, with educational qualifications of a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Biology and a Post-graduate Diploma in Social Research and Evaluation, and a Certificate 4 in Records Management.
I also won a Scholarship for a Graduate Diploma in Education but did not complete the course, as I had a secure job already, and changed my mind about teaching.
Born in Malaya, along with my twin sister, we are the OLDEST inter-country adopted children in Australia. In September 2019, I turned 56 years of age. I started running a Publication for writers aged 50 and over, this year, titled “Thirty over Fifty.”
My love of reading and writing, of the ups and downs, and the functions and meaning of Life, and my genuine love of understanding and helping others, has contributed to my survival, and to my blogging on WordPress since 2012.
Currently I am working part-time in an unfulfilling job, and would relish paid work requiring reading / researching / proof-reading / audio-typing / writing / blogging / and / or producing technical guides.
Over the past 10 months I have had 6 Stories curated by Medium. I am also currently writing a children’s novel, which maybe I will never finish, but then again, perhaps one day, you WILL see it on a book-shelf near you! 😃
Thank you for reading this. Peace and Blessings to You.
