Celebrate Writing Success Every Chance You Get

Sometimes I get jealous of other writers.
It’s true.
After all, I’m human like everybody else. I want success and often it’s the case that others get to the story first, or they create something original and inspiring, or they develop content from a new perspective.
“Why didn’t I see that story myself?” I say to the man in the mirror quite often.
The story ideas seem so obvious the next week after other writers have shown their talent to the world. But they got to them first and more power to them, as the saying goes.
What happens next? Well, sometimes you see a story or commentary regarding the great views and high popularity of their spectacular story.
Some people don’t like this and think that they are patting themselves in the back or something like that. No, I don’t have a problem with this strategy and I think it’s great to have something to celebrate.
Celebrating Success
If one day I have a story that goes viral, here is what I’m going to do. One of my next stories will be a celebration of the content that did so well.
It’s important to celebrate successes. But I’m going to make sure that I don’t make it about myself, no way. I want it to be a learning experience for others so that writers can find something useful for their own writing process.
I think I will focus on the parts of the story that helped make it successful.
First, I will try to figure out if there was something personal that got me hooked into the story.
Next, I will try to analyze how I put it all together and how much effort was involved.
Lastly, I will try to measure my own level of excitement and passion regarding the plot or idea within the assignment.
If you happen to have some very successful stories, then that is great news indeed. It’s okay to talk about them at some point and to give helpful strategies to others.
My advice is to be sincere with the helpful tips and writing strategies that you used as part of the process. Believe me, the more instructive you can be, the more your guidance will be received and put to good use by your fellow writers.
