Are You the Reason I Smile When I Check My Medium Notifications?

Finding the time to read all my favorite writers involves some clever juggling skills

Medium notifications

During the workday, I have all my social media notifications muted except for Medium.

Why?

Because I eagerly anticipate a notification that you (the writers I enjoy reading) have published.

I discreetly open up my Medium app to read you hot off the stove.

And a smile lights up my face whenever I see you have left a comment on my post.

I like to imagine my fave writers waking up in the morning, shaking the cobwebs out of their heads as they drain cups of coffee, eager to get to the business of writing.

Do you sit and ponder at the wall, blank screen in front of you as you wait for your muse to fire up, I wonder?

Or are you like me, ideas constantly flashing before my mind’s eye like a kaleidoscope of colors while I tune in and out of the cacophony of sounds that signifies a work meeting in full swing?
