Cautiously Optimistic…
This New Year is already showing some promising signs. Exciting things are happening.
Mind you, with the trainwreck of a year we had last year, I am cautiously optimistic. If 2023 taught me anything, it is that life can change in a single heartbeat.
I’ve had more than my share of struggles for the last several years, but typically I maintain a positive attitude.
Last year was different. For the majority of the year, I was very sick. For several months, we were concerned that I may even die. We now know that my condition isn’t life-threatening, but my long-term prognosis is still uncertain.
For months, I couldn’t walk, talk, or even think straight. Recovery has been excruciatingly slow.
I think I’ll allow myself to get a little bit excited today, though. It feels like things might finally be starting to turn around!
A few weeks ago, a friend of mine mentioned to me that she had started selling makeup. Aware of my recent health struggles, she mentioned that the company also has a line of wellness products that may be of interest to me.
I’m not a huge fan of MLM companies per se, but I am a fan of supporting my friends in their business endeavors. So I checked out her website and I got a little bit excited.
Over the years I have done plenty of research on nootropics. Under my doctor’s supervision, I’ve even tried some for my Fibromyalgia and ADHD. I’ve found them to be effective to a degree.
It’s better if one can find the right blend, which of course, isn’t necessarily going to be the same for everyone and can also change over time. Trying the individual supplements to find exactly which combination is going to work best for you can be a daunting task, if not financially prohibitive.
I already had a list of supplements that I wanted to add to my regime. I just didn’t have the finances to do so and I had yet to find what I felt was going to be a good source for some of them.
The more I read about Urban Retreat and their line of wellness products, the more excited I got.
I try to be very careful about what I am putting into my body. Urban Retreat’s commitment to using ethically sourced ingredients and sustainability is impressive.
The fact that their supplements are either liquid or tablets that are dissolved in water also holds a huge appeal for me.
All too often natural supplements come in horse-sized pills that are nearly impossible to choke down, or powders that can be difficult to accurately dose.
The products below have almost all of the ingredients that I have been looking for and I don’t have to take handfuls of pills!
They are reasonably priced, but finances have been so tight lately, that I held off on trying them.

I was so excited to try them that while I waited for a little extra cash to come in so that I could give them a try, I decided that I might as well sign up as a consultant. ~ That means if you make a purchase using the links above, I will receive a commission.
About a week or so later, Jan Sebastian 🖐👩🦰 reached out to me. She’s followed my stories and is aware of my health struggles. Many of my symptoms mimic a stroke. She was excited to tell me that she had recently started taking a nootropic and was finding it helpful.
The one she’s using is a little different from what I have been looking at, but her results were nonetheless encouraging. She wanted me to try it and offered to buy my first bottle as a Christmas gift.
She’s such a doll!
After some back and forth. Her product doesn’t ship to Canada. She sent me some money to find some up here. So I took the leap, and signed up with Urban Retreat.
I noticed improvements in my thinking and speech within just a few hours of my very first dose!
I’ve now been taking it for two weeks and even my family and friends are noticing the difference. My granddaughter was shocked the other day when I didn’t use my walker to walk from the van into an office. I’m still using it for longer excursions, like shopping though.
I’m not quite back to my old self, but am closer than I thought I would ever get.
There has been a drastic improvement in my overall well-being. I can walk, and talk, and think again. It’s hard to tell that just a few months ago I couldn’t do any of those things.
I now have the energy to do more than just the basics required to survive! For the last ten days, I have been up and about, actually doing things!
I am truly excited by the great strides I have made in my recovery.
