Many people search for truth to calm their troubled body, mind, soul, and spirit. Others rely on leaders to be their personal compass to help them navigate life with a greater sense of clarity. Individuals who place their hope in their words spoken by human lips instead of placing their faith in God are often led through a dark tunnel filled with betrayal, hypocrisy, and fraud. Instead of finding light at the end of the channel, deception greets them.

People must exclusively choose to listen to the voice of the Lord for themselves.

Deception

“Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.” -I John 4:1, The New International Version

A Christian prophet is a person who proclaims the will of the Lord. They are inspired by God to share an exclusive message from Him to other people. Doing so increases the faith of those who receive the message.

The number of people who declare that they have been anointed by the Lord to be a prophet has become unprecedented. I believe technology has contributed to this religious phenomenon. It has become very easy for individuals to use their social media platforms to reach and impact countless people globally.

I truly believe that there are Christians who are authentic prophets. To me, their standing as a prophet is affirmed with me because the message they deliver to others is aligned to the word of God. Additionally, if their utterance becomes reality, I believe they are a true prophet. Finally, if their message is clearly aligned to Biblical principles, I consider them to be credible.

Unfortunately, many people who declare that they are a prophet really are not. Instead, they are a false prophet. These deceptive people create and present a fake message disguised as words delivered by God.
