Carl Jung: Embracing our Shadow self…
at the mind body spirit levels or layers as the case may be

Caveat: Is that how you say that word? nod to Sarah with a little license to flair for a moment before the main focus using storytelling of epic true adventures of the psyche, spirit, and bodily urges and functioning..

This book I picked up for $1 or so at a cute hole in the wall book store right here in Santa Maria where I reside with my children and granddaughter and where I work off-site nowadays in heavenly realms with help from the dead no less, but pay no attention to that, it just comes out best when I don’t think of it really….
I haven’t actually read this book but somehow find myself living within its pages through the process of individuation that is a shattering breaking smattering of self or spirit or both or all or none if one chooses to pretend that synchronicities do not matter or exist despite the scientific evidence…
Yet it speaks to me through its splendid imagery of which I will try to remember to include one picture which scared one of my kids so I had to put it away for a while but it was an image depicting individuation and it was a shape of a circle but in the circle were a million or so it seemed of fragments like shards of glass within the outline. I found it fascinating but after just going through it and at last embracing my shadows and who am I which will be the riddle of this essay I suppose or of my life really…
But first an experiment of sorts if you choose to proceed with this social experiment of epic or dwindling proportions. I never know but thanks to my India, Som Dutt, co-founder and CEO of Prince Caspian, I have assignments and with the help of some parts that don’t condemn of the bible, solid directions and titles keeping my flair in the essays and my own decision to finally make my move and reenter the workforce full force one essay at a time as able with family always firstly!
Take a good look at the image below for at least 5–30 seconds and then close your eyes and see which image sticks out in your mind the most and what sort of feelings come up, childhood, sports or ???

Now that was a direct intervention of symbolic interaction memory enhancements!
Mickey Mouse is my prime focus as the school gets underway to support world peace and all that good stuff that will come in time. But first do you see how a symbol of Mickey Mouse laughing and Donald Duck quacking can get you laughing and thinking of Disneyland and Saturday cartoons sorry to date myself but I am young at heart which is all that matters or timeless as me and my India prefer to state…
Symbols are used all around us in social media, commercials, on trucks, in the sky, billboards you name it and there’s an ad to invoke a desire of longing for the materialistic profitable this or that that we most likely don’t actually need because it is a gimmick’ and will break in two weeks or less unless we buy the dang warrantee that when we look it up is always expired or we didn’t fill out the product registration guide properly yadayadayada…
Symbols can also be used at churches to invoke spiritual feelings of goodness, wholeness and even abuse (another essay for another day)’
So what does this have to do with Jung? Well he understood this only too well and saw where society was headed but it is time to take the ship from its helms and navigate into much less rocky water…
Our shadows
Those parts of us that are grey or black and we don’t understand how we can be this or that way like for me I have been forced to lie since a young age and have done so throughout my life not to hurt anyone mind you but rather to protect and in this I give a green light to tell a lie not in court but if it saves face and prevents drama ensuing.
I am not proud of this shadow yet but I know I will when others besides my India accept the spiritual aspect of my schizophrenia I like to call noological coined by Viktor Frankl and Man’s Search for Meaning which he wrote in less than 2 weeks from an Auschwitz concentration camp where he was a prisoner for many years but ended up giving many many prisoners reason to live and even though they lived in hell as I have the last year it is noteworthy to summarize the book as if one has meaning in life one will not seek to take their own life…
And if someone does take their own life it is only because neuron pathways are out of connectivity or somthing like that really.
Suicide can be stopped once we understand the symbols used to evoke feelings of acceptance of all of us, rainbows, clouds in a sunny sky and all living creatures.
Peace to all from India to California and every village and hut in between really…
