“Let’s get this show started!”

In all honesty, the history of politicians in the Federal Government has been an ongoing show for well over 200 years. Seriously… a drunk Wilber Mills giving a television interview from the dressing room of a strip club with his stripper mistress present. Beat that!

Really… how do you top that? Welp, they do. Follow the crime spree here.

Follow me on this quick dive into the seedy side of American History and Politics … our elected officials. And keep in mind, I am not talking about all the corruption in Washington, only sex scandals, and they can be found in a more in-depth listing here.

The following scandals involved a multitude of affairs involving married men and married women, pedophilia, incest, mistresses, prostitution, and young female slaves kept as concubines (Jefferson comes to mind). Our federal government and our Leaders.

Just as society grew and matured, our elected representatives and leaders … did not. They lowered the bar of society's values.

It kind of makes one swell up with pride in our leaders.

Nope. Not really.

Did you know in the 20th Century there were six Democratic Presidents in office a half-century, all chasing women. That’s gotta be a record. Wait. It is … a Presidential record. Republicans lowered the bar much further beginning in the 1990s but in Congress.

Today the Congressional Country Club mantra is “The fun just never stops”. While all politicians involved in this fun are not mentioned here, they are mentioned HERE.

Now, without further adieu, I submit for your reading pleasure the sexual antics of your elected officials and representatives.

1776–1899

Let’s start with Alexander Hamilton (Sec. of Treasury), who married and yet had an affair with another married woman. The first known sex scandal in the government in American History.

Then there was “the longest-running mini-series in American History” as stated by Thomas Jefferson’s biographer Joseph Ellis. Thomas Jefferson (President), is now believed to have fathered six children with Sally Hemings (Jefferson’s female slave concubine). She was the half-sister of Jefferson’s wife Martha who passed in 1782.

There were over a dozen sex scandals involving Presidents, Vice Presidents, members of the Cabinet, Secretaries of various departments, and of course members of Congress. A majority of this rascality involved enslaved women.

Then President James Buchanan and Rufus King (Senator) were allegedly involved for years in homosexual escapades. Andrew Jackson referred to Rufus King as “Nancy”. Solid historical proof Jackson had a sense of humor.

Philip Barton Key II, US Attorney and son of Francis Scott Key, had an affair with the wife of Congressman Daniel Sickles, a huge mistake. The affair ended with the shooting death of Philip Key II by Sickles shortly after. Tried for murder, Sickles was acquitted under the first successful use of a “temporary insanity” plea in the country.

1900–1969

During this 70-year stretch, American voters managed to place in the office of President a multitude of men of questionable morals, all of whom had a host of extramarital affairs. Presidents Wilson, Harding, Roosevelt, Kennedy, and Johnson were known sexual miscreants, bless their hearts.

Senator Arthur Brown, the founder of the Utah State Republican Party, was shot by his mistress, Ann Bradley. Her discovery of his other mistress did not bode well for him. A woman scorned … She was charged and acquitted, the second successful legal case of pleading temporary insanity in 1906.

William Douglas (Supreme Court) had his multitude of marriages, divorces, affairs, and one incident in which he was accused of attempting to molest a flight attendant. He proved to be a more than adequate forebearer of today’s Supreme Court. No repercussions as he kept his position.

1970–1979

This legacy, 70 years of extramarital affairs among Democratic Presidents, caused multiple Democratic members of Congress to believe they too were elected to play with girls, and father illegitimate children as a part of their Congressional duties of course.

Wayne Hays (D-OH), succumbing to his brilliance, hired his mistress Elizabeth Ray, a sex scandal that ended his career in 1976. Elizabeth Ray was on the payroll of a Congressional Committee, run by Hays, for two years as a clerk-secretary. Our taxes paid for his sexual favors. “I can’t type, I can’t file, I can’t even answer the phone” she later commented.

Some other Congressional members' sexual meanderings were:

  • Solicitations for sex with a 16-year-old boy. Everything dropped after the Congressman agreed to counseling.
  • Fathering two children with a secretary while having an affair with the Aide for the Speaker of the House.
  • Another Congressman was arrested on multiple charges of homosexual offenses. Nothing happened to him.
  • A Democrat Congressman forced a female office worker (rape) to have sex, telling her she would lose her job otherwise. His wife committed suicide.

Evidently, laws do NOT apply to elected officials. Pedophilia, rape, corruption, suicide … no repercussions.

1980–1989

Now we’re getting into some serious shit, but know it just gets worse.

Republicans, always the opportunists and cognizant of Democrats getting away with literally anything of a sexual nature while in office, screamed “Hold my beer!”

The number of elected representatives involved was two times the number from the previous decade. Start with the Republicans, and the scandals involved:

  • pedophilia (3 Republican members and 1 Democrat),
  • sodomy,
  • nude models,
  • sexual harassment,
  • and this classic… Rep. John Schmitz (R-CA), the head of the John Birch Society, was found to have separate lives and two separate families. The upstanding person he was, he refused to support 2 of the kids he fathered, one of whom went on to rape a 12-year-old boy. Not the result of good parenting certainly. Wait. He didn’t show up to be a parent.

Democrats faired a bit better this go-around with scandals involving:

  • fixing parking tickets,
  • attempted rape of a Peace Corps worker. No worries though as again, charges were dropped after the Congressman apologized.

Ain’t life grand in Congress and as an elected politician? Laws simply do not apply. Ya think Trump noticed?

1990–1999

Sexual scandals have now become a sport in Congress. The numbers keep going up.

For those keeping score, Republicans win this decade 10–5. This time around, Republicans went with their 1st team… ten experienced and well know Republicans with the goal of impeaching President Clinton.

And this: All ten Republicans, married, were caught in sexual gymnastics and were involved in their sexual fantasies while demanding Clinton’s impeachment.

They were led by Bob Barr (R-GA) who was the 1st to demand Clinton’s impeachment while cheating on his 2nd wife (just like Newt)!

Congressman Burton (R-Indiana) stated: “No one, regardless of what party they serve, no one, regardless of what branch of government they serve, should be allowed to get away with these alleged sexual improprieties….” This moral and religious family man wilted after an article in Vanity Fair discussed his affair and his illegitimate child.

Newt Gingrich (R-GA) Resigned from the House, admitting in 1998 to an affair with a staffer while married to his second wife, and at the same time while leading the impeachment of Bill Clinton ... also for an affair with a staffer.

Mel Reynolds (D-IL) takes the grand prize… pedophilia, sexual assault, sexual abuse, statutory rape of a 16-year-old, bank fraud, tax fraud … this guy never stopped. He moved to Africa and got charged with child porn and financial fraud and got kicked out of the country. He did go to jail … for a couple of years.

The list of scandals involved in these Congressional scandals includes:

  • Sexual assault, rape, sexual misconduct, sexual harassment
  • a multitude of affairs that produced children and involved child porn, tax fraud, bank fraud, and pedophilia.

Three things should be noted…

  1. numerous members of Congress have been found to have sexual relations with campaign workers, aides, office workers, and interns. They are all young girls (and a couple of boys), some under the age of 18.
  2. only two members were ever charged, and only one served time in jail.

Again, run for office, get elected, and the laws that are passed by these people to control others, do not apply to them.

2000–2009

Gets tiring trying to keep up, doesn’t it? During this decade Republicans have now taken over as the aggressive sexual predators in Congress, outnumbering Democrats something like 14–04. I lose count.

Among the 14 Republicans outed for sexual escapades, several more were also prominent in their attacks on Bill Clinton and pushing for his impeachment. Several Congressmen who came out in public against prostitution, sexual misconduct, and as being against those guilty of sexual affairs… were all found to be named as clients in the address book of Deborah Jeane Palfrey (the “D.C. Madam”).

This decade brought more of the same… numerous children fathered out of wedlock, sex with young girls and boys, sex with interns, aides, the wives of others, prostitutes… a never-ending cycle in Washington by now.

Starting to get the picture? Not hard to miss is it? One more decade to go, and of course, it just gets worse.

2010–2022

The tally for this decade plus keeps Republicans far in the lead, with a total score of 20–7. Republicans win again! For the first time since Clinton, a President is included again. Guess who? And a Republican Judge! What is the government coming to?

What happened to cleaning up “the swamp”?

And then there is the Judge:

Jack Tarpley Camp Jr., (R) Judge of the U.S. District Court for the North District of Georgia. He pleaded guilty to:

  • aiding and abetting a felon’s possession of a controlled substance, and to two misdemeanors:
  • illegally giving a stripper his government-issued laptop and
  • possession of illegal drugs.

His sentence? 30 days in jail, 400 hours of community service, and resignation from the bench, all for “purchasing cocaine, marijuana, hydrocodone, and oxycodone, which he shared with an exotic dancer with whom he was having sexual relations for the previous several months.” And he was married.

Laws for us, not for them. Again. Have you heard this before?

In a state (GA) where any drug, any amount, will get you a minimum of one year in prison, politicians are found guilty of multiple drug felonies and walk away. In our country, the Federal Government has even stricter laws, yet 99% of these politicians have been allowed to walk away by simply apologizing.

I have to be honest, this all has given me a headache. But I hope I achieved my goal of presenting to others what very few citizens in the country know and pay attention to, members of both parties are extremely corrupt. They survive because Congress is literally a private country club where anything goes. It has become the face of drugs, sex, and rock and roll… and a bunch of loonies grifting an ignorant public.

My point with all of this is as voters and citizens, people either MUST change how they vote by vetting these clowns or all of this will continue until the government collapses from corruption and the public’s stupidity and ignorance.

Think I’m kidding? Think George Santos. Are these the people YOU want to handle the future of the USA against Russia, China, and those who would bury this country alive?

I hope not.

My fingers are crossed.

Again, run for office, and get elected, and the laws that are passed by these people to control others, do not apply to them.

2000–2009
