Can You Say No To Visit A Beautiful Garden Invitation?

I love the garden it is a relaxing and fun place.

I love meeting friends and spending time with them. It is the time when you break free from your work and day-to-day chores and forget about them and enjoy laughing and chatting together.

My friend has a garden full of flowers this year. Predominantly in this season, you see a lot of chrysanthemums, poinsettias, lilies, and marigolds.

She invited me to sit around, relax, chat in the garden and have fun together. It turned out to be a blissful day taking time out and enjoying myself.

As soon as I entered her house the garden was in full bloom and I was struck by the flowers.

“Flowers always make people better, happier, and more helpful; they are sunshine, food, and medicine for the soul.” — Luther Burbank

You will agree with me that flowers naturally draw us toward them and motivate us to look fresh and beautiful.

Look at the chrysanthemums in the picture above. They inspire me. I love them. Chrysanthemums symbolize longevity, fidelity, joy, and optimism. The different colors have different meanings. Red chrysanthemums symbolize love and deep passion. Yellow chrysanthemums symbolize forgotten love or sorrow.

How do flowers inspire us?

Flowers attract us to their beauty and nature. They give us happiness and delight. We have a feeling of freshness and it changes our mood when we are sad and fatigued. They also purify our surroundings and uplift our spirits.

So when my friend invited me to have coffee with her I could not refuse. I went to her house and was served coffee, cake and snacks in the garden.

It was an aha moment for me. I just stood up, raised my hands, and offered my gratitude to God. Nature has so much to gift us.

It was relaxing with a lot of fun. I played with the butterflies on the flowers who kept flying away when I tried to catch them. I was like a little child jumping, laughing, and clapping.

Then we went to the other side of the garden where we say under a beautiful umbrella watching nature. The grass was lush green. The white and pink lilies were flowering and there were trees all around. The trees were of different sizes and lengths. They were thin and those with large trunks. They were hollow and full of leaves. Some trees were bent also. The scene was aptly quoted.

“In nature, nothing is perfect and everything is perfect. Trees can be contorted, bent in weird ways, and they’re still beautiful”. –Alice Walker

We could hear the sound of peacocks perched upon a tree.

The other side of the garden. Author’s own pic.

They opened their feathers. The peacock was beautiful and the peahen was brown and ordinary. Both made guttural sounds. When a peacock fanned out his dramatic tail, he was appealing and enjoyable for us to watch. Peacocks are colorful and the national bird of India

I learned that peacocks have also been a part of Greek mythology and are considered as a symbol of immortality, and Ashkenazi Jewish people state that the golden peacocks are symbols of creativity, and their feathers connected inspiration for writers

Listening to them and chatting about life with my friend was fun.

This is called relaxation with fun.

What are the learnings?

Somedays should be spent with friends just relaxing and having fun with a cup of coffee because of the following reason:

#1. Relaxing makes you productive.

“Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is relax” Mark Black

I found this quotation so inspiring and so true. We all have lifestyle challenges and are often running to complete our deadlines. Relaxing in the garden and looking at the green grass, the peacocks, and the flowers also made me productive and I could finish editing a whole book after that which I had been procrastinating thinking that it would take a lot of time to finish it..

This means that there was no mental load and I became very productive by taking a break from my routine.

#2. Nature inspires you with its communication system

The beauty of the flowers, the green grass, and the peacocks was so refreshing. Looking at nature I felt refreshed and peaceful. I closed my eyes and I could reach within myself and feel the freshness.

Nature was created for us. We never stop by and enjoy it in life. Beauty inspires us. Nature is in a state of perpetual communication with living beings, sunlight, temperature, sounds, smells, displays.

#3. The peace and quiet with friendly chats lifts the energy and spirits

The friendly chat sipping coffee and talking about family gossip, life experiences, work, and travels were peaceful and happy moments that lifted my energy and I felt drowsy and completely at ease. I was intoxicated with the freshness of the garden and ready for a completely relaxed time and ready to take new challenges and work commitments.

The quiet peace gives you a good sleep and leaves you fresh for the next set of commitments.

#4. Live the moment bringing out the child in you

I once heard that getting old is mandatory but growing up is Optional! I believe in it. Each one of us has a child, an adult, and a parent within us. It relaxes you when you bring out the child in you.

Such enjoyable moments breaking free from mundane tasks and playing with the butterflies and getting fascinated with flowers and nature bring out the child in you and releases happiness and relives glorious moments with joy.

This is the importance of fun moments.

To conclude

Never say no to an invitation to visit a garden or a park. It is a fun time and relaxing visit and helps you to focus on your tasks.

It is good to take short breaks as it actually helps in increasing productivity while communicating with nature bringing out the child in you and feeling the peace and happiness around you.

These moments of relaxation bring mental and physical rest and keep you healthy by taking care of your well being.
