Can you love like that?
[Authors’ note: You can read the poem yourself, or (far below) you can listen to me read it to you. Enjoy]
Can you love like that?
Love me when I don’t ask or when I bite… — — not to hurt, no…. Or when I fall, like wet snow cold upon you — — -but soft, okay…. Hold my hand when I deny it all eyes shut firm, — — and damp, yes… for I cry too much.
I ever love you, your soft, sure… love your deep, that dark gaze. I love even… rare… — — your mean… oh, when I know you don’t mean — — it at all… no.
Just love us both too much now, like I love us — — -too much, yes, like I lose me to love you, okay?
