Can You Feel the Powerful Potential of Each Moment?
Create an abundance of possibilities

If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is — infinite. ― William Blake
This morning I was fascinated by the buds forming on my orchid plant. It is the third time it has bloomed since I received it. I believe this plant represents pure potentiality. I am amazed by it every day.
Before learning to care for my plant, I thought orchids were tough to grow. However, those were old beliefs. Now I am empowered with the knowledge of how to care for my plant. I have faith that it will always bloom for me.
The beautiful orchid is a metaphor for the powerful potential in our lives.
We can choose to believe in our power to create.
I want to share with you ways in which this orchid can teach us about potential.
On my 100-day journey exploring abundance today, I find inspiration in these flower buds. They represent the infinite overflow of potential in our lives.
When we choose to trust instead of worry about how things will flow to us, we create unlimited potential.
Here are three ways in which caring for an orchid plant is the same as nurturing our potential:
Water just a little each day
When you hydrate an orchid, you do not want to overwater it. Feel the soil, and if it is dry, water it.
When it comes to our creativity, we need to nurture it a little each day. Find a way to sit down and create just a little bit each morning.
You create an unlimited potential for your dreams when you make time for them.
Just like you do not want to overwater the orchid, do not overwork yourself or allow yourself to get overwhelmed. Just a little bit of creativity goes a long way.
When you allow yourself balance, you create more potential. There is more than enough time to work and time to rest.
Trim off old blooms or dead stalks
When an orchid finishes blooming, you let the flower stem die back a little bit. Then, a new one grows in its place.
I equate this to our environment.
Sometimes we need to let go of old things or old ideas to flourish.
For your potential to grow, you need to create boundaries for your space and time. It means paring down things or situations that no longer serve you.
Keep in a sunny window
I noticed my orchid loves my sunny garden window. At first, I had it in a different window where the sun was not as bright. My plant is much happier and thrives in its new location.
To keep your life in a sunny location, pay attention to how you feel. Allow yourself to process your emotions fully.
When we allow ourselves to feel, we are better able to find more light in our lives.
That bright spot in your day will keep illuminating your path as time goes on.
Notice all of the abundance and good things in your life. Those are like sunshine for your soul.
As you drink up the nutrients of positivity, you will grow.
My prayer and my intention for you today is to see the infinite potential in your life. You are a creative, abundant being here to bring us hope. We are all here together to make a better Earth. Thank you for being here.
