“Can We Do It?”

Can we defy our greed, our conditioning

To make way for clarity and peace;

Can we give space to life

For we owe it a plenty;

Can we lead a living which compares not

To dive deeper in the calm of our minds and a little beyond;

Can we curtail our consumption

To give this planet its due;

Can we, for once, not succumb to our old patterns

To make way for soulful living;

Can we break our shackles and not

Give up to the prison of desires;

Can we admit our shallow ways

To see the deep waters of our being;

Can we rat out of the race

To see the mankind in all its grace;

Can we see how much we really need

Of the material, of the Earth;

Can we find something inside us

Which needs little and fulfills us;

Can we, for our own sake,

Stop functioning for the fake identities;

Lets take our mask off

If we can, found we have true essence of our being!!
