Hey, everyone!

I hope you’ve all been doing well. I wanted to write a quick update and an apology.

The quick update is that The Happy Human publication gets nearly 30,000 views per month now. Thank you to all of you who have contributed since we got started last year and who have made this possible! It’s certainly been a crazy time, but I’ve really enjoyed reading your stories.

I think people need your stories now more than ever: Your stories of hope. Your stories of love. Your stories that make them laugh. Your stories that leave them feeling just a little bit happier.

Because after all, that’s what our publication is all about.

That’s why I’m writing this note today. I’d love to reach more people through our publication and publish your stories daily, instead of every once in a while.

Now, this is where my apology comes in. Since the start of the pandemic, I finished two degrees, and I had less time to devote to The Happy Human. But now I’m back. If you’ve stuck around through it all, I want you to know I’m grateful.

And, of course, if you’re not yet a writer for The Happy Human and would like to become one, check out the submission guidelines page right here. It should cover everything you need to know.

Please let me know if you still have any questions or comments, though! I can’t wait to read your submissions.

Note: Submissions get accepted and edited (or rejected) based on quality. If you submit a piece that has a clear, interesting title, subtitle, and message, that makes my job a lot easier. (An example of a good title would be: “5 Ways To Boost Your Mood Right Now” rather than “Mood Boosters”.)

I always like to publish articles that need almost no editing first, so keep that in mind when submitting. Don’t worry about finding a good image, though — I’m trying to create a general theme for our publication, so I usually change the cover image anyway.

If you haven’t heard back about your article in a few days, please be patient — I always try to let writers know if their writing doesn’t make the cut.

Again, thank you all!

Luba
