CALL as a Creative Container
CALL (Creative Action Learning Lab) is designed to archive its mission with the following four-step framework.

Step 1: Creative Trigger
CALL will design, develop and curate Creative Triggers as resources for inspiring and guiding Action-based Creativity.
Creative Trigger has various forms. The Pinwheel Framework has highlighted seven types of Creative Triggers. One of the Creative Triggers I am working on is TalkThree Challenge. As a thinking game, TalkThree Challenge presents two words to you and asks you to think about the third word.
Anywhere Travel Guide is another example of Creative Trigger. Created by Magda Lipka Falck, the guide has 75 cards for inspiring exploration on the way.
Step 2: Creative Action
CALL will identify, cutare and naming Creative Actions as exemplars for actualizing Action-based Creativity.
For example, folding towels into animals is a creative action. Trying something new for 30 days is a creative action. Launching an open brand program is a creative action.
Step 3: Creative Container
Once a creator made a brand new creative action, CALL will work with the creator to build a Creative Container for growing a community around the Creative Action.
Each Creative Container will be led by a creator and a curator. They will work together to spread the message and pattern of the Creative Action and attract people to join them as actors.
For example, “Before I die I want to…”, a public art made by artist and TED Fellow Candy Chang, is very popular within the global TEDx community. Many local TEDx curators made the “Before I die I want to…” giant chalkboard in their venues. Started from a simple idea, Candy Chang created a website, provided toolkit as resources, and collected stories. Eventually, the Before I Die project became a Creative Container.
Step 4: Creative Impact
CALL doesn’t want to make social impacts directly. Instead, CALL aims to achieve its goal by researching Action-based Creativity and curating Creative Actions.
In other words, CALL is both an incubator and accelerator of creative actions. As an incubator, CALL aims to find potential creators and work with them for founding creative actions. As an accelerator, CALL focuses on finding passionate curators who would like to commit to a creative action and curate a community for encouraging people to take actions.
CALL as a Creative Container
The Pinwheel Framework describes my thoughts on Creative Trigger and Creative Action. So, what about the Creative Container? How does it work? The below diagram is a visual answer.

You can see CALL itself as a Creative Container which focuses on the Action-based Creativity. CALL’s creative action is:
Educating the younger generation on how to make Creative Impacts by building Creative Actions.
The second part of CALL’s full name is “Learning Lab” which means all of these activities I mentioned above are experiments. If you like to explore something new, join CALL.
