Bullet Journal : February
To stay on track journalling I keep things fresh
Excitedly I began to sketch out this month’s theme. I’d loved using a chilly blue colour for all my January pages, now I was ready for something fresh. It’s a month associated with romance and lovers.
Because Valentine’s day falls on February 14th, I chose reds and pinks and a theme of hearts.
I enjoyed this candy in my childhood and teenage years (who’m I kidding? I still eat them) - Love Hearts. Inspired by their pastel colours and the messages written on them — using them and a ‘letters’ theme to decorate Week 7's spread.

February is the shortest month of the year, but I’m pleased to note my mood tracker (a heart divided into 28 sections) is showing that I’ve enjoyed high and medium spirits for its duration, despite the dreary weather and low lux levels.
My friend Marie has design ideas which frequently shape my journalling action — now I start every month by creating a ‘Goals’ list. It was Marie’s bright idea to create a summation at the end of the month too, for ‘Key Achievements’.
From cardmaking and scrapbooking, I own plenty of stencils which ensure the shapes and patterns I draw match. I’m a funny mixture, wanting variety in my themes but consistency within a layout. Another friend draws straight lines freehand and leaves much more space around her page designs — we are all different in our approach.
