Cultivating Long-Term Client Relationships: The Key to Lasting Success on Fiverr

Digital Art by Author.

In the dynamic world of freelancing, one often overlooks the asset that holds significant value: "the ability to build enduring client relationships". This series article will delve into the significance of nurturing long-term client relationships. Today, we will talk about the various factors to grow repeat business on Fiverr, tips and ways to help you achieve this and make people come back.

First and foremost, always keep in mind clients often return, and by consistently delivering work on time, maintaining satisfaction through transparent communication, and ensuring a seamless experience, the happy client will leave a shining 5-star review and gladly come back to you whenever they have more such work.

And if you do so, all the other rewards will follow…

Fiverr has its way of appreciating repeat business. They have a thing called "Your repeat business score". In Fiverr's own words:

This score reflects how your repeat business compares to other sellers in your subcategory in the last 90 days, based on the factors shown on this page.

Fiverr considers various things to calculate this score. Here are the multiple factors that affect this score:

  • How many buyers ordered from you again in the last 90 days?
  • How much have you earned from repeat orders in the previous 90 days?
  • Percentage of buyers who ordered from you again out of all your buyers in the last 90 days.
  • Percentage of your earnings from repeat buyers out of your total in the previous 90 days.

What you will get?

Apart from happy customers leaving positive feedback, you will also get this cute banner which will be placed on your gig page. For a new buyer, repeat business confirms the high quality of your service.

Here are some tips to keep your buyers engaged and make them come back:

  • Buyers often need extra services delivered. Let them know how else you can add value to an ongoing order.
  • Always let the buyer know about your other gigs and ask them if they would be interested. Believe me, this trick has done magic for me.
  • Boost your Fiverr outreach by bookmarking potential future clients. Use the "star" feature to keep tabs on them, ensuring your new gig releases have an expanded reach to potential repeat customers.
  • Use Fiverr's subscription feature; by offering a gig subscription, you can discount the buyer and ensure multiple orders from them.

Let me know your thoughts on this in the comments and what other ways you use to make people come back.
