Bug Using Google Hardware Security Key?
Can’t use my hardware security key to login to Google accounts anymore as second factor
I do NOT want to enable passwordless authentication on my Google account.
Google has added passwordless in Beta and now I cannot login to my accounts using a Hardware Security Key when I create new accounts in a new workspace.
It says that option is not enabled on my account because I have not enabled passwordless.
This does not affect existing email accounts in existing workspaces that area already using a hardware security key as the default 2nd factor.
Using a hardware security key for 2-step verification should not require me to turn on passwordless and I should be able to disable the passwordless popup and require hardware security keys.
I also can’t find a way to make the hardware security key the default option on my accounts.
Google, please fix this ASAP!
