I’m editing this CloudFormation template (that is currently wrong and the CloudFormation error message is not at all helpful, btw).

On the line where I have:

    - !Ref AWS::NoValue

When I open the file it shows that value above as flush left when it’s not. It’s indented a few spaces or tabs in. I’ve been too lazy to figure out if CloudShell is using tabs or spaces because I’m in a rush to get some things done.

When I start to edit the line that *should* and *is* indented but doesn’t display that way, I get extra text. It’s like the text appears suddenly where it is supposed to be when I start editing, but then there’s still this extraneous text flush left and it’s very hard to figure out what is going on.

This happens quite a bit, at which point I tend to kill everything and start over. Something seems to be periodically corrupting the environment.
