Turns out, it doesn’t take much luck to end up, between a dream and a buck you gotta’ pay the bills stealing time for cheap thrills lost time in a hole away — from the soul’s corded hand drill so stuck churning on a stick mill but what if we jumped off to a risk to end this plight what once gave a fright — damn money is so tight ration every bite hungry, staring at the paper moonlight my favorite pen aches to write the sense I’m making is the rock the cent’s I’m making is the block but I still roll the dice dare to break the ice tattoo on my neck reminds me why I’m unafraid to shuffle the deck one day I’ll check — they’ll both be there, and I’ll be moonstruck, with a buck and my luck.

I didn’t expect to combine the two themes, but it seems another part of me did.

There are so many of us sacrificing to make our dreams reality. As long as we write, we are no longer dreaming. Keep writing.

Please join us if the theme inspires you!
