Child sexual abuse whistle-blowers should be given immunity one English MP Suggested…

(Personally I don’t know if I would agree with this MP, in fact I do know, I DON’T AGREE ..If they also abused a child in anyway NO IMMUNITY)

Chief Constable Mr Simon Bailey admitted reports of child sex abuse were increasing daily and police now believe that they will be dealing with 116,000 allegations before 2020 is over.

The rise some say is partly a result of the Jimmy Saville scandal in 2012 and Mr Bailey warned victims are believed to explode “in to the thousands”.

Jimmy Saville

Jimmy Saville report finds that he abused upwards of 60 people at a Stoke hospital.

Mr Bailey said broadband connections, like 4G, are making it easier for perverts to groom children online and admitted the fear is hundreds if not thousands of young children are already targets.

The numbers, from the new police coordinating hub Operation Hydrant, revealed for the first time the humongous scale of inquiries in to historic and ongoing sexual abuse cases.

Speaking separately, Theresa May, the Home Secretary, told rank and file officers that the picture was the “tip of the iceberg”.

Chief Constable Mr Simon Bailey Of Norfolk Police

Mr Bailey, head of the Norfolk Police and the leader on child sexual abuse for the National Police Chiefs Council (NPCC), said the scale of child abuse was “stark” to quote him.

“The referrals are rising on a daily basis so the figures I refer to today are a snap shot in time,” he said.

He said the numbers suggested more sexual abuse was being perpetrated.

Police officers have now officially identified 357 different institutions linked to the alleged abuse, including 154 schools, 75 children’s homes, 40 religious institutions/organisations and 9 prisons.

Police Forces throughout the UK have already shifted resources from other departments to maintain focus on historic sex crimes.

Several celebrities and well known and respected figures have been convicted for historic sex abuse, including children’s entertainer Rolf Harris, aged 85, and PR guru Max Clifford, aged 72.

Public confidence in the Crown Prosecution Service’s (CPS) and there willingness to prosecute VIPs and well known figures was shaken when it announced that it would not prosecute Labour peer Lord Greville Janner, aged 86, despite having enough evidence, because he has dementia.

Mr Bailey warned the easy access of super fast internet is more than definitely going to see “more and more” abuse of young children, including the live-streaming of such abuse on the web .He went on to say predators have attempted to groom hundreds of thousands of children in Britain through the internet on many sites and numerous chat rooms.

“We assess there might be around 50,000 people currently viewing indecent images of children online,” he said.

Speaking at the Police Federation annual conference in Bournemouth, Mrs May said: “We will need to face up to the changing nature of crime and the impact on police forces across the UK, including the much greater reporting of previously ignored or under-reported crimes such as child sexual abuse.

“I have said before that what we are seeing is only the tip of the iceberg.

“So let me be clear, I am committed to ensuring the police have the resources they need to investigate these appalling crimes and bring perpetrators to justice.”
