Bride and Stride
A beautiful glow
Soft and lovely, I met her years ago,
She had a beautiful glow,
Loving and sweet, the day we met,
She remains in my heart yet,
I met her as a young bride,
And now after her long stride,
She is charming as ever,
A good friend forever,
The love we share stays,
Shyly she portrays and conveys,
She is amongst us,
A delight without any fuss.
(This is a poem about a young girl that I met when she became the bride of my cousin. So many years have passed. She has charm and love for all in the family. This is, therefore, a poem in praise of girls who adjust and make a place for themselves in a family with an identity of their own)
