A Poem and Video To Restore Calm
Breathe…Love…When Overwhelmed
It is ok, to feel the things, that feel uneasy…difficult

Feeling worried?
Far too busy…?
Tired? Or sad? Or anxious…?
Angry?
Nervous?
Overwhelmed?
Hold on & breathe your way through…
It is ok, to feel the things, that feel uneasy…difficult
The kind where tummy knots up
Or jaw or shoulders tense…
An eyelid twitches
Butt cheeks tighten
Or tears well & threaten to spill…
Or sweat trickles gently down your back…
while palms are sweaty & hot
Yet hold on still…
Just keep on breathing…
And breathe…
And breathe again…
Emotions do ~ and will ~ move through
(Feelings are called feelings as we’re meant to
Feel them
Fully)
It’s healthy
So breathe them through
Move them gently
All is well
Truly
Unease does pass
Discomfort goes
You are ok
Just breathe love…
Breathe love…
Breathe…
Breathe love…
Breathe…
Breathe love…
Breathe…
Love…
Breathe…

Maybe you’d now like to enjoy a minute or two of calm, by pressing play on the video below, and hearing this poem being read to you?
And if you’re feeling overwhelmed more days than not at the moment, please know it’s understandable.
This is proving to be a difficult time for many, so I gently encourage you to check out my poem and note ‘Help is Present,’ too, as it includes many resources that can help move us from overwhelm to greater calm.
Maybe like me you dipped into experiencing a new level of overwhelm, anxiety or panic during the covid years?
I’ll share with you at one point my anxiety about the state of the world, manifested as worrying physical symptoms (enough to result in an ambulance ride and hospital visit on one occasion).
Thankfully I was physically given the all clear at that time, and a chat with a perceptive A & E Doctor resulted in me realising more trauma healing was needed (the panic attack occurred around the time of a trauma event anniversary).
If you too have experienced old traumas surfacing… debilitating anxiety at times… or panic attacks that have scared you, I sincerely hope you find your way to inner peace.
Sharing this poem below for you to listen to is a way I hope to contribute in a small way to more calm…
Here’s ‘Breathe… Love’ on video… enjoy for less than 2 minutes to feel calmer… and return whenever you need to:
