Pain Poem
Breaking spirits, mind, and bodily integrity in bits and fractions
The subtle effects of abuse

A mum child
The sand felt dirty that day, of all the cut-loose things happening,
Tears rolling, cries unending, pain raging in extremes
The traps take in the vibrance of the sorrows committed.
With epoch soaring and crying, pushed to the gates of hell
Left alone to fend, hazed and drummer fazed, as the dance
Cracked open caged and gorged humanity, not subtle and succinct
But asinine and perplexing. As my eyes watered, the hands left me at the gates,
The rivers turned into seas, which turned into oceans, I took a deep dive
Entering the classroom with a hazy unfazed memory, trying to make sense,
If at all some sense could come of it, High cry and the needles fry,
Poetic Justice and Demons Feast, all littles rage and brazen attack the weakling,
For the world to approve of the Darwinian theory of surviving the belittling.

Beyond the narrative: This is a poem that I wanted to send in for a poetry competition. However, I wanted to write more and continue writing on a spree as it required at least 3000 words. I was planning to do it but it missed my mind. As I was looking for the missing documents that I needed to upload to my LinkedIn as my account was hacked I found this piece lying on my Google Drive. It's pretty this way in length.
