Boost Your Followers, Reads, and Progress by Publishing Consistently
This will get you results.

Consistency always works. By writing consistently, you build trust, expectations, and relationships. By publishing consistently, you progress and you increase your number of followers and reads.
Show up consistently to grow and progress.
It’s not just about writing. Put it out in public. Publish.
Consistency Explained
It’s about taking something and doing it over and over again, without too much of a break in between.
It’s about building. The more you do something, the more that thing becomes established.
It’s a routine. A routine or a schedule that you repeat over and over again.
You write even when you don’t feel like writing.
There is some truth to the saying that practice makes perfect. After many years of various activities, I know that this saying has its place with time.
For example, you can learn a piece of music. Practice regularly, and over time, you can play the piece perfectly.
You can also perform in a competition and get a perfect score. But why? Because you practiced regularly.
The difference with writing is that there is no one guide or example to follow. There’s no teacher grading your story, and you have the freedom to express yourself.
With consistent practice, you can definitely add substance and quality to any genre of writing. There are standards and best practices, but no exact model to copy.
You can translate the practice makes perfect to practice makes excellence. In writing, this is better because we often say that the story was excellent.
It does not mean doing an activity every single day, nonstop.
It does not mean publishing a story every single day or several times a day. Don’t rush into publishing a story with little substance or low quality.
Benefits of writing and publishing consistently:
- You get better at writing.
- You get more writing ideas.
- You get more readers.
- You keep your audience engaged.
- You let your audience know you are committed.
- You can get more of your messages out.
- You build trust.
- You build relationships.
If you want to be a successful writer, consistency is key. Look at anyone in any field of study, expertise, professional or non-professional trade. Consistency is a key factor in the success of most people in their field.
You get better by repeating something over and over again.
Even picking up sticks. If you do this three days in a row, you will eventually be able to see the sticks earlier, see their thickness, and quickly determine if they look strong enough.
It’s the same thing with writing. The more you do it, the better your process will become, and the more clarity you will gain.
Your consistency can propel your progress.
Using your writing muscles helps you get better. You build every time you write.
As you write consistently, you begin to understand yourself, your rhythm, and your writing style. You begin to understand more about yourself and the topics that interest you.
You begin to understand what topics you enjoy writing about and what topics get more views.
We all know that when you do something repeatedly, it becomes a habit.
Your knowledge will begin to grow and change. This only happens with a continuous flow of information or ideas. If you do this consistently, everything in your brain will come out. A brain dump.
If you don’t do it, you will always have thoughts running around in your head. The more you allow them to come out, the more you clear the atmosphere of your thinking and create a space for new ideas.
Maybe you have too many things going on so you can never focus because it’s too much, and you don’t know where to start.
You may feel behind or late. It may be because you are not consistently expressing your thoughts and ideas. Let them out and make room for new ones.
You will see your ideas will start to flow. You can go back and organize, etc. But getting it all out allows for clarity.
The more writing you do, the more ideas you will have.
You will get to know your readers. You will know what interests them, what they like, and what they don’t like.
You begin to understand what is working, and what is not working.
If you write once a week for a year, you will have 52 stories to examine at the end of the year. But if you write twice a week, you will have 104 stories to consider.
Most people don’t have the information they need until after they’ve written 100 stories. So, it will take you 2 years to gather your data, your statistics, and figure out what direction you want to go.
Consistent writing and publishing will get you ahead faster.

Your Consistency Feeds the Algorithm
The algorithm likes consistency.
Social media algorithms love consistency. Its job is to push information to the users. The more you produce, the more it pushes.
An algorithm is like a conveyor belt. The more you put on it, the more it delivers. The less you put on it, the less it delivers. But that’s not all. It’s not just a conveyor belt. It’s an automatic conveyor belt.
If there is no activity, it stops. When you put something on it, it activates and starts moving.
If you consistently put items on it, it will continue at a steady pace. If you put less on it, it will slow down.
If you don’t put anything on it, it will slow down to an eventual stop. If you stop, then it stops. Simple.
So don’t stop.
In other words, the more consistently you publish, the more consistently the algorithm will push your content. If you move, it moves. You will have a consistent combination of views, reads, claps, and comments. When you stop, it stops, and all your stats go down.
Your consistency builds trust, expectations, and relationships.
Trust and expectation are the outcomes, side effects, and consequences of consistency.
There is trust.
Your readers start to trust you more. It is something that comes from your reader to you. Maybe they don’t trust you with their lives, but they trust you enough to open themselves up to receive what you have to say. That trust comes with open ears and open minds. That trust is the willingness to read your stories when they come out.
There is expectation.
Now that you are consistent, your readers will be waiting for your next piece. If you publish regularly every Monday morning, they will have that Monday morning expectation. Plus, they’ll know when you haven’t published.
Relationships are built.
Trust and expectations are the foundation of any relationship. You may not see them or talk to them every day, but you become part of each other’s lives. There is a mutual respect that is created.
Because of all the above, your readers are ready to engage. They are ready to read, comment, and clap.
It may be easier to see the result of consistency in sports. It’s everywhere. It’s visible. It’s easier to visualize. You know they show up every day for practice. The only way to get better is to practice consistently.
It doesn’t mean they didn’t practice consistently if they lost. It just means they need to get better. Same thing with your writing, and you do that by writing and publishing consistently.
If you practice less, you win less.
If you practice more, you win more.
So, the fans will follow automatically.
In Summary
Consistency is a game-changer. There are so many benefits to writing and publishing consistently. Among those benefits: you propel your progress, feed the algorithm, and build trust and expectation with your readers.
If you write consistently, you publish consistently.
Decide what consistent writing and publishing mean to you.
- 2x/3x a week?
