Book Review: “Claiming Hope” by Elizabeth Knight
Remember that naked man in the alley…?

Usually, the second book in a series is supposed to be reasonably predictable. Right…? Right!
Nope.
“Claiming Hope” should come with a trigger warning. It is the same feeling as if your cuddly teddy bear developed teeth… You did not expect that, even though the bear is just how a bear should act.
Elizabeth Knight must have received the note how you should write book number two of a trilogy. As a true Unicorn Queen she turned around, and did whatever the hell she wanted. Though I suspect a particular sassy wolf had a paw in there and is happily wagging her tail.
The story starts calmly enough, with Viv landing on the island. Settling in with her mates and soon to be mates. She learns more about her role. However, it takes off from there, and we are introduced to plenty of new characters. Each of them is intrinsically woven further into the tapestry of Viv’s story.
We see very strong world building in this part, making you hope that we will see more books in future from this world. The way the werewolf society is built up is absolutely brilliant.
The last few chapters are near impossible to put down. The pace increases and we get more.
More action, more heat, more “where did this come from…”
It is the sign of a fantastic book and talented author if you continue to read while feeling miserable to know you are almost at the end…
“Claiming Hope” is again another breathtaking and adventurous tale. And the series keeps giving by leaving you with plenty of new plotlines to be curious about in the third book.
