Boebert Disinvited From Speaking To Youth Group
It is not surprising in view of the recent news about her
Lauren Boebert is a Congresswoman from Colorado.
There are two Republican women in the United States House of Representatives who came in with a bang in the election of 2020. Lauren Boebert is one of them.
They made the news regularly because of their stands on issues and their devoted support of Trump. It seems as if they should be friends, but they have had conflicts with each other. Both were reelected to a second term in 2022.
Boebert made the news once again for being thrown out of a theater in Colorado recently along with a male companion. It was not her husband to whom she was getting divorced.
She had been invited and was scheduled to speak at a youth summit in Texas. Apparently, they decided to uninvite her after her latest shenanigans.
The Washington Examiner had a story by Asher Notheis titled: “Lauren Boebert disinvited from speaking at youth summit following Beetlejuice drama.”
Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) is no longer scheduled to speak at a youth summit in Texas after her behavior at a public theater.
Boebert was planned to speak at the Texas Youth Summit, which is free for people between the ages of 12 and 26 and set to be held Sept. 29–30 at a hotel in the Woodlands, near Houston. However, her name and photo have been removed from all advertisements on the event’s Instagram page after she was removed from a showing of Beetlejuice: The Musical, during which she was vaping and acted physically intimate with a man.
Boebert has said that she has canceled future dates with the man she was with at the theater. He is apparently a registered Democrat, and she said she would check party affiliation going forward for dates.
She did say that she had a lovely time and has taken responsibility for her actions although she lied about it at first. She apologized for her behavior at the theater.
She barely won reelection. Adam Frisch is the Democrat who ran against her. He is in the running again for the next election to try and unseat her. There may now be other Republicans who will challenge her in the primary.
It is surprising that Boebert would be chosen to speak to a youth group. She hardly seems the type to be a role model for young people. She quit high school and received her GED shortly before she was elected. She and her husband owned a bar where their staff were encouraged to carry guns. She had said that she would carry a gun in the Capitol.
The fact that she was disinvited to the youth summit is not surprising.
