Summary

The text is a reflective piece on the author's deep connection with the sea, evoking memories and sensory experiences that culminate in a moment of tranquility and mindfulness.

Abstract

The author of "Blue Blood" vividly recalls the allure of the sea, describing the enchanting blue waters that lie beyond the reach of the last turn. The descent towards the sea is filled with anticipation, as the salty air fills the car with the promise of the wonders to come. The beach is alive with the sounds of families and pets, a cacophony that paradoxically becomes a soothing background noise, reminding the author of the importance of being present. As the day wanes and the beach empties, the author finds peace in the quietude, feeling an intimate connection with the sand and the gently retreating waves, until the setting sun signals the end of the day.

Opinions

  • The author feels a profound, almost spiritual connection to the sea, suggesting it is an integral part of their being.
  • The beach's noises, initially chaotic, transform into a continuous, meditative soundscape that promotes mindfulness.
  • The author values the solitude that comes at the end of the day, when the beach is deserted, as a time for personal reflection and peace.
  • The setting sun marks not just the end of daylight but also a moment of serenity and acceptance of the day's closure.

Sea water runs in my veins. I remember the magical blue Laying out of touch, below beyond the last turn. I remember starting descent Car windows down, Breathing the salted air, Lost in wonder.

Dream emerges From the waves rustle, Kids and parents, shouting, upbraiding, Calling, murmuring, Dogs barking on the beach, All abraded in the far rustle, continuous reminder Of mindfulnesssssssssss.

Sand grains swarm like my cells. Laying on the sand, I do nothing Just breathing, relaxing. Now families have deserted, Sea is nearer, waves erased, Sun bent over horizon, Silence has set up his peace veil, We will have to pack up and go.
