Black Lives Matter
No more white alibis

The sun has set silently waiting for justice to hear the dead cry
An opal moon is a flag waving in the night sky
A somber chant holds the whys
It is an injustice still riding white paved streets, driven by rage, filled with hatred, not seeing color as people
It is white’s fear of not facing self demanding to rule
It is centuries of beatings killings still repeating
I will cry but I won’t go without saying how far whites need to change
to stop to see
how
Black Lives Matter Black Lives Matter Black Lives Matter
period
No more white alibis
*written in deepest respect for the murder of Ahmaud Arbery.
