MOMENTS
Bitter-sweet Moments of Holding On
Becoming a mother is not as easy as people think
The bitter-sweet experience of holding a baby is inspired from Bradley J Nordell. I am not writing a poem like him, but trying to review what I got while reading his moment poem.
To be honest, I remain unable to write a new Medium post as I could not decide the topic. So, I decided to diversify my read on Medium. I started reading the first page stories showing on my Medium app. While scrolling down, I just found an amazing poem named A Moment Beyond Description.
This poem is really wonderful as it shares the experience of holding a dead baby, which made my eyes wet. I do not know, but I get too much into the words of Bradley. I learn the experience of the bittersweet moment of mother.
I know that becoming a mother is not an easy job, but what if she is holding a dead baby in her trembling arms. The moments get frozen without knowing the condition of mother. Everything seemed stop working, but in reality — the mother was experiencing the bittersweet moment while holding a dead baby in the trembling arms.
How pathetic her condition was. No one can even imagine the pain of trembling mother. One can only predict her bittersweet moments according to their perception. It reminds me off the harshness and unpredictability of life.
Checkout how Bradley has well constructed the situation in words.
They know that minute will be an eternity. It will replay itself a million times in their minds. It will be there at the gravestone and the bedroom. It’ll be there at every argument and birthday party.
The whole poem is really full of hearth touching words. It shows how the moments transits within seconds. The happiness turns into sadness, the moments of future get vanished within s seconds. All the hopes, imaginations are no longer. This what life is considered as unpredictable, so live the moments before you experience the bittersweet moments.
