Maple leaves blush red, ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~枫叶一红
Autumn thickens, ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~秋天
Season’s weight grows ever dense. ~~~~~~~~~~ 又厚重了几分
Dreamt streams, softly sway, ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~梦中的小溪
Carrying Grandma’s tales, ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 载着外婆讲不完的童话
Wander through my hometown fray. ~~~~~~~~ 流过故乡
In these fairy tales of hers, ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 在外婆的童话里
A playful autumn gust scratches the trunk, ~~~秋风跑去挠一下树干
Leaves giggle, tumbling from trees. ~~~~~~~~~叶子就笑得落了一地
The sea and sky, ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 大海与天空
Exchange vows, ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~互换庚帖
Snow weds itself only to the north. ~~~~~~~~~ 雪,只肯嫁给北方
There, ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 在那里
Spring winds shake withered lotuses, ~~~~~~ 春风用力摇动枯荷
Awakens several blooming flowers. ~~~~~~~~便能摇出一朵莲花
Southern sun-showers, ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 南方的太阳雨
Occasionally grace the north, ~~~~~~~~~~~~~偶尔也会落在北方
River winds whisper at a gentle pace. ~~~~~~~江边吹着不眠的风
In that place, ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~在那里
Songs hide in peach blossoms, ~~~~~~~~~~~~ 信天游爱藏在桃花里
Melodies of joy and sorrow interlace. ~~~~~~~唱着淡淡的哀愁
Flipping a few pages of loneliness, ~~~~~~~~~ 风只需翻阅几片孤独

A graceful journey, in a quiet space. ~~~~~~~~ 坠落的理由

Like a cat, ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 像一只
Eyes narrowed, ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~眯着眼睛的猫
Gazing into the distance. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 注视着前方
Chickadees, ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~门前的山雀
by the door’s base, ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~聆听着
Heed the trees’ dwindling heartbeats. ~~~~~~~树木逐渐消瘦的心事
The cold west wind, ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~西风
Strips away the last leaves, ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 更加冷漠
In a brutal final chase. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 要吹落最后的残叶
Dry, yellow grasses, ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 枯黄的野草
Guarding the fields, ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~守望着
Like vigils for scarred lands. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~遍体鳞伤的田野
Lanterns aloft in trees, ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~树上的灯笼
Burning silently, ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 静静地燃着
Yearning to pierce the endless darkness. ~~~~~ 想把黑夜烧出一个透光的洞
