BIG Changes, Tiny World
I am drastically changing my strategy with this game…into an exit strategy…

As you may know already, I have been invested with & continuously playing a crypto game called Tiny World.
I made ROI way back in April/May of this year but decided to get back into the game around August/September…
(NONE OF WHAT I WRITE IN MY ARTICLES IS TO BE TAKEN AS INVESTMENT ADVICE. I am neither an advisor for this nor suggesting any financial action on your part. DYOR)
Since August I have invested a lot of money into the game & have only withdrawn a very small out of the game. My earnings have continued to go down over time. I’m only at 14.36% ROI since 8/1/22…OUCH!!!
Thus, the a need for serious change.
FUD???
Is this FUD? Nope!
This is what happens when you are still learning & make big mistakes.
The gameplay is great. The Devs are great. It is an easy to learn & play game. You CAN earn a lot of money if done correctly. I also hear that there are great things on the horizon for this game such as the new utility of the SPIRIT token & the Tiny Pets system.
All of these things may revitalize the game & will produce more earning opportunities for the players.
For me, it is time to start cutting back.
WHY??? WHAT HAPPENED????
Let’s look back at my history with this game, since 8/1/22.
On 8/4/22 I was a little over 20 castles (25 castles I think). I was able to sell 2 materials & 2 equipment at the time, but was only earning Green materials.
Here are screenshots of my investments (white) & withdraws (green) since then…

As you can see, more went in than came out…OUCH!!!
I used the investments to buy more, better, heroes & to upgrade equipment. My goal was to earn a lot of Blue material & then to reach Brawler status, which let me sell 3 materials & equipment at a time.
(I wrote several articles about my journey in the game, along the way.)
At the time, Blue material was selling for $2.50, which was a lot higher than the Green material at $0.25. If I could sell the same amount of Blue material that I was currently selling green then my in-game income would be A LOT higher.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to earn very many Blue materials, about 1 per week. So, my income did go up but very slightly. I then thought that if I could reach Brawler status then I would be able to sell 3 at a time. This would theoretically increase my income by 50%, which would be awesome!
I did reach Brawler status(after investing more $$$) & was able to sell 3 materials & equipment a a time. It was slow going. I was only able to sell on average, 1 material per day & 2 equipment per week. This was nowhere near what I was expecting….BUMMER…
Also, recently the floor price for materials has gone down 50%. This affected my ability to earn in the game….BUMMER…again…
I then decided to try the Tiny Lord feature on the website. It looked very promising with an average earnings of 36 TINC per day. This would be around $1.26 per day, which was a lot higher than the little $0.50 per day I was currently earning.

So I then moved 3 of my heroes out of the game & into NFT Farming on the website. This enabled me to battle for an Outpost. (The Stronghold & Castle were too powerful for my current heroes.) I hoped that I could take over an Outpost & earn a lot of TINC, more than my current in-game earnings.
(I did leave my level 9 Marksman in the game so that I would be above 200 castles & have a possibility of earning more Blue Material. I could still sell 2 materials & equipment at a time. So earning in both ways at the same time.)
My eyes were then opened…again…
I had to pay gas fees to battle against the Outpost & more gas fees to occupy the Outpost. I also had to be powerful enough to keep the Outpost, or I would have to battle to get another one. This equaled more gas fees.
I was able to battle & occupy an Outpost three times. This is with having 8 battles. I also noticed that the lowest-powered Outposts were getting more & more powerful as the days went on, which made it more & more difficult to win battles with my current heroes.
I was however able to earn 50 TINC in 3 days of battles. 50 TINC = $1.50. This equates to around $0.50/ day in earnings, minus gas fees. Gas fees = $6.52. They will give back 80% of the gas fees after the end of the month. So I will get back $5.21, which means that it only cost me $1.30 in gas fees.
Earnings of $1.50 minus net gas fees of $1.30 = $0.20 profit over 3 days…NOT GOOD.
This is also not including other gas fees moving the heroes from the game…which means that I was in the red again…BUMMER! BUMMER!! BUMMER!!!
In the midst of me trying new things in the game, they have also made a huge adjustment to the SPIRIT NFT. The amount of SPIRIT that a person had was multiplied by 100x & the amount of SPIRIT required for upgrades was also increased by 100x. This also made the unit price go down by 100x.
This means that my SPIRIT NFT has increased to 3800 (around $4.94).
They are making this change in anticipation of launching the Tiny Pets, which will come shortly.
As you can see above I also used the 100 TINC, as a test, to see what I got. This would give me something else to put on the market for sale…I got a N level 1 Thief…which I then placed for sale on the market.
NOW WHAT???
Well, after lots of thinking I have decided that it is time to start reducing how active I am in the game & begin my exit strategy.
- I have put up most of my heroes for sale on the market along with all of my SPIRIT NFT. As you can see above, I was able to sell my Level 8 R Magician for $12. This was more than I made in this game during the whole month of November! WhooHoo!!!
- I will leave my R level 9 Marksman in the game & try to sell all the materials & equipment I have left. He has me at 252 castles, so I can sell 2 of each at a time.
- I will put my SSR level 3 Wallenstein up for sale as well, once he gets finished with an expedition.
- I will then only do 1 combat run a day until all of my material & most of my equipment is sold. This will take a while…
- I’ll still do the daily checks, to gain more SPIRIT NFT each week. I’ll then put it on the market for sale, once it reaches 800–1000.
WHAT DID I LEARN FROM ALL OF THIS?
Well, it looks like I still have to learn to get out while I’m ahead. It seems that I have done the same thing in this game that I did in Wonderhero. (I have repeated my first mistake. OUCH!)
I made ROI fairly quickly, which is good. Then I got FOMO (Fear of Missing Out)…which killed my profits & put me in the red…
Sometimes we have to learn the hard way…which is the way of pain…& it hurts A LOT!
