Beyond The Yellow Brick Road is Personal Transformation

Picture from Talencia

For a couple of weeks now, Elton John’s song “Yellow Brick Road” has been going through my head. Songfacts states:

Bernie Taupin wrote the lyrics to this and most of Elton’s other songs. The lyrics are about giving up a life of opulence for one of simplicity in a rural setting.

The song speaks of finding your inner value, whatever roads you must go down or up or around. Life’s journey is not easy for any of us, and some of us have had enormous challenges in 3-D that have eroded our self-esteem and held us back from achieving our potential earlier.

This year 2020 has thrown all of us “curve-balls” and our roads have been diverted or stopped or taken us to surprising places. The gold bricks of some paths are crumbling, as the restrictive and Earth-care-denying policies and systems of handfuls of people in power around the World are being brought into the light.

As the ships of selfishness and conscious choices of clinging to the old for profits and power are sinking, those who are in it for themselves, are grasping what they think they can take with them.

We are all on unique paths, and while any individual can, for sure, try to influence someone else’s choices, and in some ways succeed, they must not lose sight of them-self.

In “The Wizard of Oz” Dorothy, the lost, and her companions, the brave, the heartfelt, and the thinker, followed the yellow-brick road to transformation through redemption. The avenue for redeeming your dreams and changing your perspective is always “home”. Home is your inner core, the spark that keeps you going, no matter what.

In these times of trouble and unknowns, you must stay steadfast on your own path of BE-ing you, by loving yourself and reaching in and pulling out that which you know you are.

Look to your spiritual qualities, such as kindness, unconditional love, understanding people, empathy, giving freely of your time or services, leading others, committing to social movements, and caring for others.

For YOU are more than what you seem. You are energy and you are light, and your Light BE-ing lights up the dark and the choices to be made.

Remain true to yourself, trust yourself, and just BE yourself. The yellow brick road is the road that is lit up for you to explore. Study its tributaries or its off-shoots in the “past”, its forks to the “future”, and the smoothness or coarseness under your feet right now.

Complete your mastery of knowing your “modus operandi” and believe that you are spinning alchemical magic within no-time or the infinite field of possibilities, as you are.

Once you understand that you are enough and that you are doing your best, as you keep moving, beyond the next turn in the road you will be on the step that you need to be on to complete your journey.

The “yellow brick road” is the map in your heart that plots out your spiritual and human tendencies.

Follow the map and you will transform as you meet the needs of your Soul and are guided to the choices that you need to make.
