Beware of Fake “JaffaBranding” Profile – Do Not Fall For This Scam!

It has been brought to my attention that there is a fake profile of me going around trying to scam users on Medium.
The account will have the exact same profile photo of me, yet when you click on their profile, they will have a different follower count.
Here is an example of a scam profile:

The scammer will try and get you onto a third-party messaging app and then try and charge you money to join a ‘private network’, then ultimately scamming you, taking your money.

The scammer will then try and make you ‘register’ to the community before they scam you, asking for personal details such as your mobile number and e-mail address.
I will never ask anybody on Medium to pay money or ask you to add me on third-party messaging applications.
What to do if you see a scam profile?
Click on the fake profile, and press on the three dots which will open a menu of options:

Click ‘Report this author’ which will bring you to an options menu.

Choose the appropriate options to report, I chose ‘Rules Violation’ and make sure you tick the box to ‘also block this author’.
Be aware of scams on Medium, always double-check the account because the same profile photo doesn’t mean that it is me speaking to you.
Full Disclaimer: I will never initiate any request for money or solicit your involvement in any third-party applications, private networks, or activities that require a fee to join. If you encounter any communication claiming to be from me and urging financial transactions or participation in paid services, it is a fraudulent attempt by someone impersonating me. Please follow the instructions in this article on how to report the user.
Medium should then take action against the impersonator and ban the account permanently.
