Best Thing About Leap Day
For this year and each Leap Year to come
Today’s random word is Assistant.

We lament about time, saying if only I had one extra day.
Today’s that day!
On this Leap Day 2024, I’ll need an assistant for the things I’ve saved for today.
There’s a closet to organize and a spare room to dust. I need to sort the child’s toys into too babyish and currently playing with.
I want to make a chocolate pie with extra shredded chocolate and a buttery graham crumb crust.
And here’s the best thing about Leap Day — calories don’t count, and if you’ve been around since 1924, you’re 24.
Happy Birthday to Leap Year babies everywhere!
What is the random word drabble challenge? A Drabble is a short fiction standalone story of exactly 100 words. For the challenge, we will receive a new random word from Nancy Oglesby each day, and our story is to include that word.
This challenge is for you if you’re trying to boost your creativity, build a consistent writing habit, or just have fun!
