Ben Has a Confession

I don’t know how to tell you this. Where to start…

This drabble (100-word story) is a response to Fiction Short November Prompts (prompt 1), written by Nancy Oglesby at Fiction Shorts.

Ben ran outside frantically.

“Wait…wait…let me catch my breath…” Ben grabbed his knees trying to suck in air. “I don’t know how to tell you this. Where to start?”

“Just start at the beginning Ben, but make it quick, ok? I’m going to be late.” Kathryn leaned against her truck’s door.

“Well, it all started…”

“Ok, wait, is this going to be some sort of long declaration?”

“No seriously, it’s important…”

“Ok, ok…” She crossed her arms.

“Well it all started…”

“Ben!”

“Ok! I smashed up the entire right side of your truck yesterday…and it may be missing a tire…”

This 1st drabble is written as part of the “100 Story Challenge” by @Zane Dickens.
