Believe
A haiku
Good luck ladybug Believe and you shall receive Pfizer shot this week.
I have been trying to get an appointment for a Covid-vaccine for a while. This week, a ladybug crawled on my shirt; the only ‘bug’ I am not terrified of and actually love!
“A good-luck ladybug!” I exclaimed to my daughter and we set the little lady free. The next morning — I scored an appointment for a covid-shot later this week. Today, another ladybug found me, and a dandelion too and I allowed myself to be swept by their good luck vibes; vibes of magic and belief! Why not?!
I am not a deeply religious person nor a big believer in much other than the human spirit itself; I have never believed in the tooth fairy, past lives, reincarnation, or fortune-tellers. But I do blow and wish upon dandelions and I do believe in the magic of ladybugs, for if anything, both make me smile, bring me joy and revive my childlike spirit in the present moment!
Sometimes, it’s fun to believe, and yet other times it’s imperative. We must learn to believe more in ourselves; in our capacity to choose, create and live the lives we imagine — magic and all! It’s more fun this way!
Of course, belief isn’t enough. We must also take action to move our wishes, goals, and dreams forward. Belief together with dreams, goals, intentions, and action = change. Good luck out there!
