Being in Quarantine Has Given Me Peace and Here’s How It Can For You
We all live a very fast-paced life, whether that is going to work, class, game, or a social gathering. But ever since quarantine started our life has been very much slow and, to be honest, I like it.
The world we live in now feels very slow. We are in our respected homes living a life that many people wouldn’t believe would ever happen. We finally have some “me” time, who would’ve believed that would happen. Being in quarantine has given me a sense of peace and clarity and it can for you.
At the beginning of quarantine, many of you were lost including me. We didn’t know how we were going to be able to even get through this. Some of you who are reading this may be social beings or antisocial. I am in the middle of the social spectrum but being quarantine shows you who you are.
PSA: If you are still complaining about being in quarantine than this article isn’t meant for you.
Being in quarantine has given me a sense of peace. I know what I love to do and I am ready to pursue it. Before quarantine, I was living a life full of going here and there, which didn’t give me time to even. think or talk to myself.
Like many of you we live an action-packed life but being in the house and having time for myself has given me a new perspective on life and it has helped me for the better. As much as this is emphasized we need to be able to have time for ourselves. Life will get easier when you truly know yourself to the fullest.
I haven’t Facetimed or called many of my friends during quarantine. To be quite honest I can go days without talking to them but I do like to talk to them when I get all my tasks completed. Many of you may be thinking that you need to talk to people during a time like this. Well, I have my siblings and myself to talk to so I think I’m fine.
Being completely out of the outside world has given me a sense of clarity that I never thought would happen, especially to me. Every day, instead of checking what the Kardashians are doing or what’s going on in politics, I think of all the things I want to complete on that day and I take action.
“Nobody can bring you peace but yourself”
— Ralph Waldo Emerson
I am not a self-improvement guru but I can give you my take on finding your peace. Living a life where society pressures us to always be moving isn’t good only if you know you’re destination. Many people follow what society tells us to believe rather than listening from within, in your heart.
As a nation like many others that are going through a very detrimental pandemic, we must take the time that has been given to us to find what our path is. Being with yourself all the time should give you a perspective on who you and what you are. Life is a journey where no map will help you get where you want. You are the map so you must truly know yourself before you are ready for the journey of life you are about to take.
As people, we evolve physically but we can mentally. Don’t get trapped by what society wants you to believe sometimes. You must form your opinion on things and that goes for anything. Society cannot tell you where you can find peace. Your heart and mind will guide you to your place in life and that will give you a sense of peace and clarity.
Live life your way, not anyone else’s because you got one life on this Earth so you better live it your way. The map to peace in clarity is inside you, so are you ready to walk and explore the life that you believe is right for you?
