Behind The Scenes Of Helping Cam Models — Choosing The Right Dildo #1
A funny story to tell
My experience with the camming industry and with helping webcam models, in particular, dates back to about a decade ago. Over the years, I have been faced with plenty of funny situations that I would like to share, as they are guaranteed to put a smile on your face!
The golden rule when working with webcam models is easy peasy lemon squeezy — Do not react to drama.
A lot of women used to complain to me daily, either saying that their cats ate the last slice of pizza (even though they were vegan cats) or that their ex-boyfriends were trying to contact them through pigeons because they were blocked everywhere else. As I mentioned, “no reaction” is the safest route to take, otherwise, your response might trigger something else. You don’t wanna end up buying vegan cat food or fighting their ex’s, do you? Just be a good listener.
Do you know how challenging choosing the right-sized sex toy can be?
I’ve had plenty of women telling me “I am too shy to go to the sex shop, would you be kind enough to buy some toys for me?”
I never had any issues with doing the shopping for them, however, some of the beginner webcam models didn’t know what size would be the right fit for them, which meant I had to choose whatever I thought would be the ideal size.
I once went to this sex shop and the assistant was an old lady, probably in her 60’s. I told her I am an employee at a studio and that there’s a model who’s uncertain about what size the right sex toy should be. The next thing I knew, she was literally throwing about 6 toys, all different sizes, on the table saying “Let’s measure them, boy”.
She pulled out this big measure tape and started measuring, she started with 12 and went up to 32 (centimeters) to then ask me again “Which size do you think is the right one?”
Now there I was, sweating my ass off because I was also kinda new in the industry. I tried to figure out which size is appropriate for the model. I did my maths for about 5 minutes, without saying a word. People were queuing up, waiting for me to make up my mind. There was one guy as well, he was holding a 32cm toy in his hand and I remember thinking: “Well, at least he’s determined”.
Not long after, the assistant lost her patience and started shouting “Choose one, boy, we ain’t got all day, people in line.”
Embarrassed, I picked one up (almost had to use both hands) and said “This one!”
The old lady smiled: “Are you sure?”
I said yes, paid for it, and then got back to the studio. On the way back to the studio, the dildo was standing on the passenger seat. I had to lay him flat, because he was literally able to look out the side window.
Back to the studio, the model, all excited asked me: “So, did you choose one? Let me see it!”
I hid it behind my back like a bouquet and then I made a “Ta-daaa” sound, revealing the “flowers”.
She was not impressed, to say the least. She began yelling at me stuff like “Are you crazy?”, “You can use that if you want!”, “Be my guest!”.
I didn’t know what to do, it was one of my first times choosing such things. But hey, no worries, she ended up using a 12cm one, and after her first year there, she thanked me for the 24 (yeah, it was a 24 one, lol).
Everything I related here is from my personal experience. I have many more stories alike to come!
This was merely a brief introduction to the fun side of the industry. I hope no offense will be taken!
