Behind the Mask
In the Veil of Faces, a World Unseen
In the masquerade of life we play,
Behind our masks, we hide each day,
A tapestry of souls, complex and profound,
In this enigmatic dance, we’re tightly bound.
Each face conceals a story untold,
Behind those eyes, mysteries unfold,
A silent world of intentions held within,
Beneath the surface, where we all begin.
Some wear a mask of joy and delight,
Yet harbor darkness, hidden from sight,
Their intentions murky, shrouded in disguise,
A world of contradictions beneath their lies.
Others may seem gruff and stern,
But beneath the mask, a lesson to learn,
Their intentions pure, and hearts so kind,
A treasure hidden for those who find.
A mask can shield us from the pain,
Or from the judgment of others’ disdain,
But it can also hide a loving heart,
Waiting for a chance to play its part.
In the shadows, where intentions reside,
We must look beyond the mask, not just outside,
For we are all different, in this we agree,
Yet intentions reveal our true identity.
Let us not judge too quickly or condemn,
For intentions are the keys to understanding them,
In this complex world of faces and disguise,
Let empathy and compassion be our prize.
Behind the mask, a universe concealed,
Intentions varied, a tapestry revealed,
In this mosaic of life, we all play our part,
A symphony of souls, a work of art.
