Behind The Curtain, The Show Goes On
We are all entertaining the same circus. Some of us are just better at hiding it than others.

The curtain falls.
In the dark, the weight of responsibility presses down.
We wake up to a nightmare drenched in sweat. We juggle work meetings, finances, and family conflicts. We feel alone in our struggles, and tears threaten to spill. Was it something someone said?
It feels like a show takes place every other night.
We see a tiger forced to jump through a ring of fire. A giant elephant balancing on a set of drums, trying hard not to fall. There is applause coming from somewhere.
Suddenly, there is a giraffe on stage sight-seeing with arrogance and a shameful zebra in disguise painted white. With so much internal chaos going on, how is it possible to keep a clear mind? Why can’t it just get quiet?
Because life doesn’t work that way. There will always be a circus in our minds and multiple emotions performing on stage. Every animal I mentioned is one of those emotions we feel. It becomes exhausting as the cycle repeats itself and can get quite disheartening, especially when we believe something might be wrong with us. Trust me, nothing is wrong. We are all in the same tent, trying to keep it together. Some of us are just better at hiding it than others.
Call me the next time you have a stubborn donkey on stage refusing to move forward or a bunch of parrots flying around singing mysterious melodies. I’ll let you know that I’m showcasing a lion right now, trapped in a cage, scared out of its mind, roaring at everyone walking by.
