Becoming Whole
Uniting more than our bodies

It was late afternoon.
I think I remember it now.
The moment his eyes were no longer his, protruding mine.
The instant his hands and my skin became inseparable, igniting a friendly fire.
The warmth of his breath burning my every fright and anguish, replacing my sight with galaxies once deemed light years away.
His voice singing the sweetest melody of desire, adjoined by mine in a heartbeat.
Our heartbeats turned into a single unit, fusing strings and collecting bits of our dreams — shared dreams — melting onto a canvas of assembled visions.
Bodies colliding, souls touching, bloodstreams exploding.
And I think I miss it now.
The dusk of the sun painting us in shades shielding our figures bathed in water, dipped in sand.
The skies drawing a portrait of our faces as we took over the horizon for a brief second.
A flash of infinity flying past the clouds as our binding movements gradually welcomed the moon. Our kisses reflected by the stars that sang our names in bright galore.
And… I cannot remember how it ended, if it ended at all.
