A poem that personifies Beauty and Inner Beauty

The world dotes on Beauty She’s so attractive And so charming And captivating Her look is perfect Her hair’s so soft Time passed, and age matured Beauty’s looks have changed Her charm is lesser Her wrinkles are showing Inner Beauty is never affected Her kindness and thoughtfulness remain Her patience and loyalty impress Her gentleness and generosity touches Her purity and modesty shine In the twilight of years Beauty will rest But Inner Beauty is still awake To remind us of a simple lesson That beauty is only an appearance It is as deep as our skin But the beauty within Whose name is Inner Beauty She’s still there waiting Without ever ageing If you ever recognise her She is still the same Like many years before
