“Must be nice to be a stay-at-home Mum.”

I hear this A LOT.

No one understands that not only is sacrifice a part of parenthood, but it’s also the backbone of stay-at-home-parenthood.

Single income families, whether one parent or two, embrace frugality, the 3-Rs (reduce, reuse, recycle) and encourage meaningful gifts.

Our children make homemade gifts for every occasion.

Heartfelt, creative, extraordinary, mementos to be cherished for years.

Cherish them we do.

I am grateful for the difficult Christmas where I told my children, “If you want to exchange presents this year, make a homemade gift.” Unemployment happened. Funds were low.

What began out of necessity has morphed into a lifelong love of creating something unique for our loved ones.

Every holiday is an adventure as we eagerly await our newest treasures.
