Easy does it

No need to be so hard

What are you afraid of?

Soften those edges

Sand them down

Don’t be brittle

And hard to get along with

You weren’t always this way

What happened to your heart?

Be gentle

And easy in your ways

Everyone needs it

And it might make their day

Be kind

Be tender

It's rare nowadays

Choose to be soft

Even if it’s risky

Be gentle

Even if they want to fight

Be kind to them

For even they need your love

Smooth down those hard edges

And let the beauty of your warm heart shine
