Be Picky With the Stories You Read and Write on the Internet
The power of mindful reading and writing.

People have their own agendas. You can’t trust everything you read. Some people write to change and transform lives. Others write to do the exact opposite. They write to cause confusion on purpose.
They write whatever crazy things they can think of just to make a quick buck, even if it instills fear in others. Some write anything for attention.
Some write from their ego space. Not from the heart. They say whatever will draw you in. They throw their integrity out the window.
They write lies on purpose to cause a commotion. They share false information and never think twice about it.
Use discernment when consuming information on the internet. Not everything you read is true.
The golden days of writing had certain codes and ethics that writers followed. But now anyone with a phone or laptop can share their version of the news with no consequences.
Sitting behind a screen can give you the courage to say things you may not otherwise say in real life. People neglect the old norms of research and fact-checking.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and sharing biased or wrong information is simpler now that anybody can do it hiding behind a screen.
People forget their reputation is their biggest asset. Don't fall in the trap of posting just to post. Practice the act of mindful writing.
Be conscious of the things you put out in the world. Does it help or harm?
Is it true? Does it spread love and not hate? Do you strongly believe in what you are writing and is it in alignment with your higher self?
While sharing every detail of your life with people may be appealing, it seems many people are losing touch of what may or may not be a good idea to post on the Internet.
Not everything needs to be shared. Save some parts of you for you.
Think before sharing the secrets of others. How would they feel if they found out?
Anyone can find what you’ve written on the Internet, and not with a lot of difficulties — your employers, your clients, your friends, and your family.
Be mindful. Failing to do can have serious consequences. It can wreak havoc in your life.
The things you say online could harm others emotionally, mentally, and even physically.
The things you say online could get you fired. You can ruin your friendships and relationship just in the name of having something to write about.
You can’t allow fame and attention to ruin your relationships. Take a breather before posting anything heated on the Internet.
You can’t predict who will read what.
