“Be Happy For This Moment. This Moment is Your Life”- Omer Khyaam

About a week ago, I noticed that a dove was trying to keep the blades of dry hay on the top of the wall that was adjoined to my neighbor’s house. Though it’s a good corner, it wasn’t quite safe for the eggs to lay and hatch. At night, in her absence, I made a corner, a bowl of clay where it could settle her blades of hay to hold onto her eggs later.

In the same activity, again I noticed that a nightingale was trying to settle some blades of hay on top of the right angle of my kitchen window pan.

“You can’t do that,” I uttered, the nightingale persisted.

It’s actually a tinted glass through which I could see her but she couldn’t watch me. At night, in her absence, I scotched a half part of a box right over there so that she could hold her nestle and lay.

At dawn, my joy knew no bounds when I saw both of them ( the dove and the nightingale) brooding over their nestles comfortably. Both were now safe from wind and rain.

After some days I’ll be hearing the sweet chirping of their babies.
