to believe in what binds us all together.

What makes us yearn for common ground with our fellow humans? Do you feel a need to connect to the world and share it with your family friends and lovers? What is the universal truth that your peers are seeking? What makes us similar to our neighbours? What do we share? Where is the common ground?

In my short time on this amazing planet, we call earth, I have come to believe there is abundance in what unites us, rather than divides us if we chose to recognise it. I am going to try harder to recognise this and in small ways highlight to others what I believe binds us together.

to stand up for your rights.

Everyone has their own battles and rights to defend. Centuries ago people rose up against oppression and wrote about what binds us all together to protect the greater good of mankind. I know that word is politically incorrect, but I am referring to rights fought before freedoms we have today. Magna Carta in 1215 when rights did not exist, understanding of the world was very different to today’s more equitable language. Although we still are likely centuries from real equality in society, we have made exponential progress.

“No free man shall be seized or imprisoned, or stripped of his rights or possessions, or outlawed or exiled, or deprived of his standing in any way, nor will we proceed with force against him, or send others to do so, except by the lawful judgment of his equals or by the law of the land.”

This is the basis of Anglo Saxon rule of law, which dominates the global systems we say are “free”. So what occurs when the law of the land is amended by the executive to deprive and strip individual rights? Good people like you must stand up and defend themselves, today and every day onward.

to understand the choices you make.

Can we be free of what prevents us from acting right? We must understand the choices we make that affect the world around us before we can assess if they contribute positively or not. Interconnectivity, strong collaboration, listening, and reaching out to those beyond our realm are essential.

to find your creative & inventive spirit.

Find invention, innovation, and discoveries by being creative and trying new things. Don’t be afraid to try and fail, that is the only way to discover. If you have nothing, then remember — necessity is the mother of invention and that a great economy & society is a product of creative minds and invention, not money. Sometimes we find the unexpected in the past and remind ourselves how inventive and creative human society has been over the centuries.

to seek your desires

To seek happiness is obvious to say, but it’s hard to execute in reality as it can take years to understand what we really desire, especially without imposing pain or damage on others or even ourselves. Don’t hold back your confidence, but find a balance between your inner self and your fellow human beings that might need your grounded guidance too, so don’t keep your confidence for your own benefit alone. Hope attracts hope, positivity attracts positivity, and the more it grows the more people will collect and move toward a hopeful future.

In my life, I have lived with hardships, constraints, fear, and despair, struggled in terms of freedoms but the universal truths of human happiness, positivity, freedom, kindness and the strength within my soul kept me going. We all deserve and can tap this freedom within.
