Be Careful When You Ask Or Demand
There could be more than one acceptable answer
An old guy like me was driving and didn’t quite gauge the distance. He didn’t stop soon enough and ran into the back of a brand-new sports car.
The owner jumped out of his car and returned to the offending driver. He said, “You just ran into my car. Insurance takes too long, and I demand $10,000 right now for repairs. If you don’t pay, I’ll beat you to a pulp and leave you beside this road.”
The old man said, “Oh my. Let me call my son. He trains dolphins for a living. I know he has the money.” The bully snatched the phone from the old man’s hands as the phone rang. He told the person who answered, “Your old man just ran into the back of my new sports car. You need to bring $10,000 in cash down here now. Or, I’ll beat your dad up. The son said, “I’ll be right there; give me ten minutes.”
He hung up and gave the phone back to the old man. Almost to the minute, a new Jeep pulled up, and the son wound his way out of the Jeep. He walked directly over to the bully and beat him up. Then, he left him alongside the road.
He walked back to his dad, who was awe-struck. The son said, “Dad, please, I’ve told you before, I don’t train dolphins. I train Navy Seals.”
