Summary

The web content discusses the trend and dangers of Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) surgery, reflecting on societal pressures, the desire for physical attractiveness, and the importance of self-acceptance.

Abstract

The article delves into the cultural phenomenon of the Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), a cosmetic surgery popularized by media influencers and celebrities like Kim Kardashian. It scrutinizes the inherent risks of the procedure, citing a mortality rate of 1 in 3,000, and juxtaposes the quest for physical perfection with the philosophical notion of self-love and acceptance. The piece acknowledges the role of free will and societal standards in shaping individuals' desires to alter their bodies and questions the worth of such surgeries in light of the potential for serious complications, including death. It also touches on the psychological impact of body image on dating and social media presence, suggesting that the pursuit of a certain body type can attract superficial relationships and undesirable attention. Ultimately, the article encourages readers to consider alternative, non-surgical methods for body enhancement and to embrace their natural forms, advocating for a shift in focus from physical appearance to personal fulfillment and well-being.

  • The author implies that the desire for BBLs may stem from a lack of self-esteem or dissatisfaction with one's natural body shape, despite the inherent risks of the surgery.

Basic Barbies and the BBL Craze of Hopefuls

A look into BBL and the understandable desire to be desired

In Nicki Minaj’s song, Anaconda the reverberating lyric goes: “My anaconda don’t want none if you ain’t got buns, hon!’”

I think we all know what that means.

Lately, I’ve been thinking we are just meat packs in fruit shapes and geometric patterns. I don’t believe God made a mistake on any of us, but the Creator endowed us with free will and eyeballs.

Due to this free will and eyeballs, we like what we like and discard freely what we do not like. Those getting the BBL(Brazilian Butt Lift) surgeries, do not like the shape they are given so they are freely discarding it for something “better”.

This is totally understandable.

But(t) —

The death rate of having a BBL surgery, is 1 in 3,000.

The (not so)surprising danger of BBL surgery

Dr. Lara Devgan a plastic surgeon told Harpers Bazaar,

“The Brazilian butt lift is an operation I do not perform any longer.”

She said it’s because the mortality rate speaks for itself.

Scary.

Even more chilling, someone just posted on YouTube that she lost her aunt to BBL surgery. The comments ranged from condolences, to women claiming to finally accepting their body types.

There were some “pear bodies” in the comment section who expressed sympathy for those who couldn’t have the pear/peach bum, but no one will truly understand how it feels to not be part of the dating selection process because due to being shaped like Spongebob.

One guy came in there claiming he loves small butts, but when Ms. Pear commented he quickly asked, “Can I see a pic of your pear shape?” Further proving that we can love ourselves all day but it will always be a certain shape woman who is desired.

This surgery is not worth your life

It works in tandem though: these ladies are getting deadly butt lifts because of social media, internal pressures, media pressures, and guy pressures is letting them know without even using words, that if you do not have a perky derriere, you can consider yourself flatlined. You’ll never have a man panting. You’ll never be an IG model.

There are other surgeries, like for nose and lips that can get a woman the attention she needs, but in the end is it truly worth it? Is it worth going from dust to flesh to plastic and back to…possible dust again because of a dangerous surgery?

Hmmm.

It may be worth it.

If you don’t value your natural life.

Kim Kardashian is considering laying her butt to rest

Kim Kardashian was part of the rectangle family at one point. She always had the pretty face, but her butt implant gave her what she truly desired: attention. Now, reportedly Kim is getting rid of her butt implants. Most women after a breakup/divorce cut their hair but Kim decided she’d cut the butt.

The so-called basic Barbies like you and me(and I say this lovingly and jokingly of course), we have our charm, our wit — but for some of us it is not enough to be classically beautiful or known for our brains. We may want to tiptoe to the Wild Side and get shot up with fat deposits from elsewhere.

I can sit here and muse about the philosophy of loving oneself all day long, but if you want to attract a man, you have to become that beautiful, colorful bountiful peacock.

I wouldn’t rank myself a 10/10. No way. Maybe 7/10 on a great day and 4/10 on a bad day, and even those numbers are generous. As a child merging into my teen years I was rectangular. As a teen I got some thigh meat on me that made men drool and my breasts went from mosquito bites to melons- great!

My behind though…meh. It was round but it did not poke out like ready lemons.

In my early thirties to late 30s I can now identify with an apple — or an apple with a slight hump. Funny. I know.

Loving yourself takes natural grit

If you are considering having a BBL surgery, consider this: it may take long and you may not have the dramatic results, but you can have your butt lifted with certain exercises. On YouTube there are so many videos by actual fitness gurus that can help you achieve that.

Also, and more importantly, consider this. Women who have BBLs attract the wrong attention. These BBL Barbies are getting wacky Ken dolls who lust after them, but these same men leave them as disgruntled baby mamas or used for sex. Not all of the situations are the same, but you get ’em how you won ‘em.

Being a basic Barbie is not so bad. Us so called “plain- apple- square- women” lead joyous drama free lives and thank God for not making a mistake on us that we think needs correcting.
