Back to Square One: Decisions

Poetry: Yellow Butterfly Series

It’s the weekend Yeah, I know you two love the weekend You both showed me everything that weekend But I was paralyzed, like I was dreaming You two were so masterful at deceiving Kept it all golden, you kept it all sparkling

But now the paint has been chipped away You all have been scheming House filled with people screaming Life and death Her lungs were heaving You left her there like she was nothing Addiction clouded the vision

You, my friend, couldn’t see it was all pointless Paint chipped away You’ve lost everything Back to square one again Decisions Bad ones make your misery endless
