Daughter Finds Out Her Mother Is Lying to Her for 30 Years

A daughter suddenly finds out that her mom had been lying to her for 30 years, and all the secrets started to unravel on her 30th birthday.

Who still remembers their 30th birthday? For Andy, it is like any other birthday. She wanted the day to be over, as she felt her life was going nowhere.

Her mom Laura offered to take her out for her birthday lunch, a lot is going on between Andy and Laura, and it happens between mothers and daughters.

While they were having lunch, Laura saw a young man across their table, she had some bad vibes about him, but her thoughts were soon interrupted by an acquaintance who was with her daughter.

But Laura's eyes remain fixated on the young man.

As Andy went for the restroom, mayhem followed. It turned out the young man was out to kill, and bloodshed ensued.

As shots were fired, people in the restaurant started to dock for cover. Call it mother's instincts; Laura knew that Andy could be in trouble. Her being in a police uniform didn't help. Although Andy was only doing call duty answering 911 calls, she knew the gunman could target Andy next.

Laura was right, the gunman did come after Andy, she pleaded, the gunman fired his gun, but he ran out of ammunition, he stabbed her with a knife, but Laura did the impossible, she caught the knife with her hands, and turned the blade of the knife and slit the throat of the gunman.

People were saved, the gunman was dead, and Andy was about to find out that her mom had been lying to her for the last 30 years.

It was a breaking story, and suddenly Laura found herself where she never wanted to be, to be caught with her lies.

Who is Laura?

She insisted on coming home after her surgery, she also wanted Andy out of her house that very night, and Andy was confused by how her mom was acting up.

Later in the evening, an intruder came to their house. This time Andy didn't freeze as she did earlier in the restaurant. Instead, she saw her mom being attacked, and she saved him.

Andy called 911, but Laura instead had other plans. She gave Andy some instructions and to trust her.

By now, you must be wondering where this story is leading, Laura or is it Jane and Andy, the mother and daughter whose lives will forever change, with Laura having to deal with her past and Andy trying to know what secrets her mom has been hiding from her and why?

While both Laura and Andy are fictional, they are the characters in the new Netflix Pieces of Her, a thriller based on the book with the same title by Karin Slaughter. We have seen stranger things happen.
